Squares #3
As I was working on my latest “carry around town” quilt during my daughter’s basketball game today I realized I never posted a picture of the previous one.
I started this quilt before finishing Structures #15 (another carry around town quilt) shown in my very first post. [Wow look at that I've been blogging for almost 11 months!]
I think I finished it in April or May of 2005.
The squares aren’t sewn to the background fabric of the quilt, I just laid them on top and secured them with the embroidery floss while I was quilting the little thing with a seed stitch (that kinda random all over stitch). I’m actually using pearl cotton thread for the quilting.
This is probably not a great work of *Art* but it was fun and something to keep me occupied when I have to wait.

I don’t think this is the best image but it’s what I had on my computer so I thought I’d go with it. The quilt is actually fairly square. At some point I need to reshoot this piece outside.

I like this piece….it reminds me of snow outside a window. Nice texture!

Thanks Mary. I can see the snow now that you mention it! It’s so wonderful to hear how others view my work.
