Grand Canyon Sunset

Structures #22 © 2003 32" x 50"
Watching the sun set across the Grand Canyon is wonderful. As the sun moves across the canyon the colors and shadows change on the rock walls.
I could sit and watch every day as each one is different.

Lisa, your quilts are just gorgeous! I love your fabric! If you have any scraps that you don’t need, I’ll pay you to send them to me! This is one of my favorites too.

I just love the color palette of your Grand Canyon series of art quilts - not to mention the compositions! Having been to the Grand Canyon over 10 years ago, I can still envision the place if I close my eyes and concentrate.

neat how my eye moves across the quilt, like following the sunset. I really enjoy your blog. Some days you present thought provoking comment and concerns and make me think, Some days like today you share your finished work and provide a sensual and pleasant moment. Thanks so much for both. Jane

Thank you everyone. Your comments are most appreciated.
Cherie - I do have scraps but I tend to use them for labels and other odds and ends. I’ve thought about packaging them up and donating them but I get worried I might miss them! Silly no doubt. If I ever want to part with them I’ll let you know.
