hello lisa,

i am a student and
i am studying your ark work at the moment and i have to say, from all the ones i have studied yours has been the most interesting and the one that i have produced the best work from. looking through your website and seeing all your work has helped me and shown me how amazing you are at what you do. looking at this one, i like it the most. the differnt tones of blue you have used, makes the other colours stand out, and i most say blue is my favourtie colour :).
i hope to hear from you

Lovely piece. Very water-like. Love the use of line and subtle color contrast. Why are you scaling back from shows? Can you comment on your thoughts on shows as they evolved?

I believe the "Markings" pieces are among my favorites, Lisa. Softly rhythmic.

Hi Lisa, I subscribe to your blog, love it!! I love the colors in this piece, very beautiful. Also, I have read about your connection with Digging Pitt. That gallery is less than two miles from my house. Funny how small the world really is!

Congrats Lisa!
Sometimes the world gives us exactly what we need at just the right time. I like this piece, too. Looks like different colors than what I've seen recently. Very striking and inviting.

Congratulations! I live in Denton and look forward to that show every year. It's always interesting and I always see several things that I fall in love with. I can't wait to see your work in person!

The quilt is wonderful, it is not surprise you were accepted. Jury shows are so hard, so subjective. I had a piece last year, that recieved an award in one show, but was rejected in another.

Congratulations, Lisa!

I've been pondering the juried show thing myself lately. I think they're a good thing, but I'm thinking I might not be focusing much on them anymore. Not completely decided yet.
