Markings #9
Markings #9 ©2007 37"x 40"
This is another of the pieces in my show Markings: Repetition and Pattern, currently hanging in Boulder.
I gave my artist talk yesterday and had a fabulous time. I’m choosing to spend my time away from the computer today so more tomorrow on the event.

This is beautiful. The colours remind me of glorious days visiting Lake Powell on a holiday driving through Arizona.

The colors in this piece really speak to me. Even though the colors seem “quiet”, the piece still has great energy and movement.
Do you think you would ever do a post on the more mundane aspects of quilting? Perhaps you could tell your readers your preferred needles, threads, fabrics, etc. I tend to use the same products over and over without testing new (and possibly quite improved) products.

Olga - it reminds me of Arizona also!
Kim - search on thread on my blog - there are a few posts about that. Also search on dyeing - lots of posts on that and a discussion of the fabric I use. One of my goals when I reorganize is to pull together a list of posts the document all of this how-to stuff from start to finish. Some posts I still need to write (I’ve been working on the binding one for almost 2 years now). After I do the reorg if you see a topic that you want to know about and don’t see a post let me know.
