Installation images from my show, Markings: Repetition and Pattern. The last day the show is open to the public is this Wednesday, March 19, from 9-4pm. The lighting makes for difficult photography in the gallery - apologies for the unevenness.

The exhibit looks great. It is nice to see the pieces hanging — it gives a better indication of their size and power. Thanks for giving us the tour. Wish I could be there in person!

Wow, your art looks incredible against the architecture of the building, all that texture is glorious. I’m sure the photos don’t even come close to what this feels like in person. Congratulations!

I really see the shadow of the hanging bar at the top of the works What are you using?

The installation pictures are a great recap of all of these “show” posts — thanks for all the work you did to document this for those of us unable to travel to Colorado.

    Lisa,

It is wonderful to see your work hanging together in this setting. I like seeing the differences in scale between your pieces. I like your use of larger “bars” in this group, especially #10. I also really like the movement in #2.

    Great show, congratulations!

What a wonderful show. thanks for posting the installation pictures. I like seeing the outside of the building too for a complete image of the setting.

Wahhh, I’m not going to make it! But, I feel like I experienced it in person.

How about the Buell theater or Ellie Caulkin’s for a show - your work would be perfect there. In the past 3 weeks, I’ve been to both for various events and immediately checked out the artwork.

Wow Lisa! You don’t appreciate the scale of the work until you see it on the walls. Amazing. Wish I lived closer.

    Congratulations Lisa!
This solo show is stunning — my faves are Markings #14, #2, and #12 in that order.
Markings #14 stands out for me, must be those long elegant vertical strands. Wish it were better lit.
Will you publish a separate catalogue?
I too wish I lived closer.

    Thank you everyone!

Pam - I use 1/4 inch thick wooden boards. The lighting coming straight down on the art (instead of more from in front) accentuates every bit of texture. I love some of what this does in how the work looks - but the noticeable hanging bars is maybe not so attractive.

Kit - catalog - yes someday - I’m still working on getting the structures show from 2 years done!
