Deb - I've been entering juried shows for years and years. They were a really great starting point for my art career, but at this point I'm ready to move past them. Entering the same shows over and over again isn't a sign of growth - it's a sign of being stuck. So I've very picky now as to which shows I'll enter.

I do enter a few as in the art quilt world this is where a reputation comes from, so to keep my name in front of the in crowd I need to have a bit of a presence in that space.

Lisa, this has been a very interesting topic to follow, thanks. My question is not directly related to scrum but to a statement you made about not entering a couple of juried shows last month. I'm interested in hearing what your criteria is for entering and what benefits you look for. I'm just starting to get more involved in this aspect of my art and I sometimes wonder about it all. I'm curious about your thoughts.
Thanks for all the great info!

Hi Lisa,
Interesting to look at how making art decisions can relate to your "scrum" knowledge. Has prompted me to see how I can apply some of this to my own methods as well.

Oh and congrats on selling the artwork in your last post so quickly - I look forward to seeing how this theme develops.
