A friend just sent me this blog post from Andrew Sullivan’s The Daily Dish because she thought it would resonate, and it did. It ties in a bit with your observation about low energy signaling that you haven’t gotten clear about a decision and the energy release that comes when you make up your mind.

In it Patrick Appel makes the case for making choices being hard work, as in physically hard and draining. If correct, it explains a lot about my own energy levels compared to yours. I rarely make a quick decision and find a can do little work while trying to come to a decision on something. Of course, once I DO make up my mind, I feel like you – energy released! Just takes me longer to get there than you, it would seem.

Thanks for the mention and all the nice words Lisa! I don’t regret quitting my technical job one bit, and I’m glad there are folks out there who are inspired by it. But for the record, you are MY role model with all of your energy and organization!!

On another note, congrats on the start of construction – we’re all waiting to see the final result. How exciting!

Congratulations on receiving your new painting and the beginning of construction – I can’t wait to watch the progress!

On decisions – I can agonize or come to one quickly. It all depends. If the decision in question affects the whole house, it becomes like labor union talks between my rational husband and intuitive, gut-based me. It would help to have a mediator sometimes. :)

I thought for a brief moment that you’d changed style and medium! :) It’s a lovely painting, congrats. And thank you for the link to Stacey’s blog. I covet her tidyness, but most of all her EASEL! Looks like a Sorg easel so I’m very jealous. Can’t wait to keep up with yet another Colorado artist – you guys are all just so interesting!
