I have always named my cars too :) My first was a 1981 Honda Accord…cute little green four-door with a wood slatted luggage rack on the trunk- his name was Donatello after the Ninja Turtle.

I recently got into a vehicle discussion with a friend and counted up the number that hubby and I have had since we’ve been married (11 years). um, 18… yeah.

I can so relate to Number 7…Like the rule about not taking your baby stroller up the escalator…duh…that rule obviously only applies to people who don’t know how to do it, not me…jeesh!

I spent about 1 hour in my studio today…didn’t get a lot done, but it was a start. I plan to be there again tomorrow.

Great list! I sure a few of these: I too keep my cars until they don’t drive anymore. I still consider my latest, a 2001 Subaru Outback my “new car”.

My fave in this list, though is your driving 1200 miles to acquire a pile of 2×4’s — How everyday things become anointed by their loving use! We have my grandfather’s old workbench that falls into that category. We museum-folk love how everyday objects take on new meanings by how and by whom they are used. I’m glad they survived your move!
