The Danforth Museum of Art proudly presents Mixed Media Fiber Art, guest curated by internationally-recognized fiber artist Jeanne Williamson of Natick, Massachusetts. On view beginning Wednesday, January 7, this contemporary show features works by thirteen artists with new approaches that “break the rules” in working in the fiber medium. The group of thirteen artists focus on innovative mixed media approaches to fiber arts using printmaking, painting and dyeing, as well as unusual ways of piecing and using appliqué and reverse appliqué.
The artists include regional, national, and internationally-known practitioners:
