This quote is from a computer guy but I find the statement is also true about my art.

    I think Michael James would agree with you. After starting simply and watching his work grow increasingly complex, he felt he had come full circle by returning to simplicity in his designs. Of course, the quality of those designs, or perhaps I should say the sophistication was quite different from that of the first simplicity. I see it in your work as well.

    Hi Lisa, I’m curious about the term textile painting. Is that a reference to using fabric like you do paint or is it a way to present the work with arousing prejudices associated with the term “quilt” or fiber art?

    Shelia – good point. I also think simple is actually harder than complex. The temptation is always to do more.
