That's me in the front row, waving the banner that says "Go, Lisa, go!"
You ARE inspiring to me! Thanks for your willingness to share yourself.
And #73 is gorgeous!

Cheers,
Sandy

Cheering from Ohio! I haven't had family issues, but I was struggling all summer and fall with bathroom remodeling issues. I am finally at a point where I sew again! Hang in there Lisa! When you finally can get back to sewing it will feel like an old friend has returned.

Go Lisa! wootwoot! :) We are here, you are here, and you have been working as an artist - the South Africa trip was very important. Just because you're not sewing doesn't mean you're not in the creative process.

*cheers*

Think of it as the lull before the storm. When you get back into the studio there will be no stopping you. Cheering from South Africa!

Much cheering, and wishes for balance. There is no doubt that you will get back to doing it all, and doing it well. :) Thanks for all you do...

I'm sure I speak for others when I say: We are here cheering you on and we know that you will get back to your art when the rest of your life calms down a bit. Happy Thanksgiving!

Gorgeous quilt Lisa! I have been reading your blog for about a year now but have never commented before. Your work and thoughts on art and life are so inspiring to me that I had to finally write.

I found you through Self Taught Artist's blog and I found Christine Kane through you and I can't thank you enough. I went to a retreat this past March and the work continues to change and enhance my life in so many ways.

So thank you for being there and posting whenever you can. It's always a treat to see new work, to catch up on what you are doing and to be inspired by what you do.

Yay! Go Lisa!
For me, finding the way back in to the rhythm and energy of making art after a break feels like stumbling through a well known forest in the dark. I can sort of feel the path beneath my feet, but I have to go thoughtfully if I'm going to avoid walking smack in to a tree!
And eventually the sun begins to rise, and the next step in the path gets clearer and clearer.
