Jaye - I tried to get organized to bring along handwork but didn't - had a nice chat with my sister to keep me occupied.

Beth and Mary Francies - thank you!

Patty - sorry I didn't answer sooner - that is a home made little thing to hold the thread upright - I like it better that way than sideways as it's built in for the 1475. I have a small circle of felt under the thread that keeps it spinning freely.

Louise - funny! We were thinking about the "fridge plugged in in the truck" idea also - but it was cold enough outside to just set the food outside and the fridge went in the truck pretty early.

love this new work!!

I have driven a 22 ft truck AND a 26 ft Uhaul. (both were full of my belongings) They are not that bad to drive but definitely take their time going up hills.

I packed the freezer at the back (full of boxes of frozen food that could be removed for easier loading and unloading) and ran an extension cord so it could be plugged in at night untill completely unloaded.

Good luck with your move.

Lisa, The colors are wonderful. I am leaning toward the pieces with the linear fence looking posts - like the one under the presser foot. I have to ask about your set up for the spool of thread. Do you think the thread feeds smoother? Is there someting under the spool that makes it slick so the spool will turn easily? I can see me making something like that this weekend for my 1475.

It's great to see the pieces develop. I'm looking forward to picking mine out. :) You created a distinctive color scheme and it's interesting to see how your style is still very much your style with a different inspiration and geometric construction.

Glad you got some studio time. I am thinking about you and your family at this time. It seems like a ride in the truck would be a great time for some handwork? Perl Cotton? Beading?
