A Look Inside My Week
One of the most common question I’m asked is “how do you get so much done while also working a day job?”
This week I answer the question with a daily post of my activities:
Thursday
5:30-6:30am – wake up, respond to all outstanding emails, update social media, update website – all January workshops are now sold out -woohoo!
6:30am-8:00am – Art Teaching Prep – update assignments for Working in a Series and schedule them for correct days on class website (I’m revising the class for our new 10 week session starting in January).
8:00-8:30am – Empty dishwasher and ?? who knows – this half hour magically disappeared. I suspect to social media – but I do have a few new “interest lists” on facebook so I can start putting people’s business pages into lists. Maybe not the best use of my time :).
8:30am – start day job – working from home still – kid is still sick (bummer!)
4:30pm – end day job
4:30-7:00pm – Studio Time
7:00-pm-10:00pm – Holiday Dinner Celebration
10:30pm – Bedtime (I’ll read for about 15 minutes first)
This week is unusual with all the holiday parties. I didn’t really think about that when I started this series of blog posts – I’m definitely doing less than in a normal week as a result but it still gives you a good idea of how I do things. There isn’t a lot of doing nothing or wasting time.
