The World’s Longest Todo List
I mentioned last week that I was crazy busy. Writing my personal mission statement will have to wait until March.
Why, what are you doing? Thanks for asking!
In addition to being in the thick of my winter trimester (I’m teaching 4 online courses between Jan 6 and Mid March), I’m getting ready for my first ever trade show.
In less than 1 month I will be in a booth filled with my art in Baltimore where I will sell my art direct to the public for the first time ever.
And there is also a wholesale component – so there a whole new side to selling art to experience.
I have a lot of decisions to make and I’m using the following directive to help guide me:
“Make decisions from where you want to be.”
I want to be someone that has a professional quality booth and is very successful at wholesale shows.
So when I have to decide something I imagine my success and pick the thing that I would pick in that situation. It makes it all a lot of fun.
If not a bit scary at times.
One of the most important things I am doing is making oodles of new smaller artwork for my booth. I’ve pretty well set on big gorgeous textile paintings but my inventory of smaller works isn’t where I think it should be.
