Long time readers might recall the day about 5 years ago when I made a very bold move and I more than doubled the price of my art.
Since that time my art sales have been steadily increasing. We are 1/3 of the way through the year and I’ve already sold 38 textile paintings (thank you thank you thank you to all of my wonderful collectors).
It’s time again for another price increase. Although this time a much more modest change.
This week I’m changing the price of my smallest textile paintings (anything priced under $500) – later this fall I’ll adjust the larger works.
I wanted to give you a heads up about the upcoming change so you have a few days to purchase work at the current prices. If you’ve had your eye on a piece now is an excellent time to add it to your collection.
The new price structure:
12×12″ former price: $475.00 –> $520.00 staring May 2, 2014
6×12″ former price: $250.00 –> $275.00
8×8″ former price: $225.00 –> $245.00
6×6″ former price: $150.00 –> $165.00
4×6″ former price: $110.00 –> $120.00
4×4″ former price: $ 75.00 –> $ 80.00
3×3″ former price: $ 55.00 –> $ 70.00
Most increases are around 10% with the exception of the 3×3″ pieces (my Lines series) – I’ve been barely covering cost on these textile paintings when sold through a gallery and it’s time to address that situation.
The Available Work
To make it easier to find my available work (no need to sort through all the different series pages) – I’ve create a new page that lists all the available small work for sale:
PS – if you’d like to read about that big leap in prices from 5 years ago and what motivated the change, here is the article: Pricing
PPS – Tomorrow is my birthday (April 29) – I encourage you all to buy yourself some new art in celebration!!
Right? How better to celebrate my bday than to buy my art :):) And yes – have some chocolate also!!
And stay tuned for a huge announcement on how I am going to make the day spectacular.
